Traveling to Melbourne for the week was a great experience. walking the streets of the CBD I could not believe how much graffiti, art, music and culture seemed to pour out of every lane-way. I was really impressed by the graffiti method using white paint with black stencils and upon my return home to Sydney I created this design.
The design depicts a Samurai and he is in a bad mood, his dagger is drawn and one hand rests on a samurai sword ready to go. I have tried to achieve a balance between the enormous headdress by stretching the Japanese kanji for samurai (?) underneath him. The writing also gives it perspective, as if in the street and I particularly like it how the symbol is red like blood.
