The Samurai from Melbourne

mikoto's SamuraiTraveling to Melbourne for the week was a great experience. walking the streets of the CBD I could not believe how much graffiti, art, music and culture seemed to pour out of every lane-way. I was really impressed by the graffiti method using white paint with black stencils and upon my return home to Sydney I created this design.
The design depicts a Samurai and he is in a bad mood, his dagger is drawn and one hand rests on a samurai sword ready to go. I have tried to achieve a balance between the enormous headdress by stretching the Japanese kanji for samurai (?) underneath him. The writing also gives it perspective, as if in the street and I particularly like it how the symbol is red like blood.

  2. This looks awsome, very effective, ‘abi’ please don’t type in that annoying way and use words like ‘jap’ and ‘cute’ towards such respective arts and topics such as the Samurai.
