It seems mikoto’s Geisha Grooves would be a good addition to Models Prefer’s Hair straighteners. Its a shame they didn’t get permission from mikoto!!
mikoto Stolen Design!
For the past year mikoto has been busy designing countless cute little characters for a new Australian stationary company called Budons. As of July 1st, 2011 you can buy these Budons across three countries in stores like Target, Officeworks and WH Smith.

This has been a huge project with mikoto putting all of his creative energies into conjuring up new characters for the Budons range. Budons is as the names suggest, little button like buddies that you can attach to pencils cases, bags and wallets using a patented attachment mechanism that allows you to collect and mix a variety of your favourite budons.

My Googled Geisha Saga had a happy ending with Blogger Daniel Humpheries and he’s site Daniel’s World of Coffee Doing a Blog all about mikoto, my coffee T he liked and the Geisha he used earlier. His image of mine was right up there on Google Image Search.

A simple play on words has yielded this image of a Cheeky Rat, who thinks he’s a Pirate. The Pie rat has taken control of a delicious Cherry Pie and looks menacing.
Did you know that a bluebottle is actually a colony of four tiny individuals called zooids! Once these solitary zooids are attached to each other they work together to blow a big blue bubble so that they can float around trying catch small fish with their sting.
When I was young I always thought the bluebottle was pointless. I would reason that at least bees can make honey, blue bottle just sting, and really badly. Now that I know that they are actually a happy little family out on a fishing trip I have a little more respect for them.

This is the cupid of scorpions. With a quick flick of the tail he can set a victim hopelessly in love with the next person they see.
The problem here is little scorps has fallen in love his own tail? what will happen if he stings himself?

The kamikaze pilot – the suicide bombers of world war II who have become an icon of Japanese patriotism and whose story you cannot read without being both moved and disturbed by.
One of my favourite artist Murakami did a number of war related images in a similar fashion. I think the irony of the kawaii style and subject matter of this nature make for an interesting viewing…
